Gideon Architects was originally formed in 1983 as part of the IGMP Architects Collaborative, IGMP grew to include seven principal architects and two associate architects in four states and two European countries. In 2009 G+R architecture+design was created. The principal architects work independently and jointly on various types of projects.
Our emphasis is placed on the planning and design process with function, flexibility, cost, and public perception considered instrumental to the creation of a successful project.
Our design philosophy is that most concepts have been used before, by others and us, and that new designs for the most part, consist of project specific ways of putting those concepts together, sometimes in new and innovative arrangements.
Our goal is to provide our clients with projects that meet their basic needs and requirements while maintaining the flexibility to evolve and grow as conditions change, and to meet the aesthetic needs and requirements of our clients, our communities, and ourselves.
